As feared, Doug Christiansen has stepped down as head coach of the GB men's senior team after one season in the post.
Doug, who returned home to the USA at the end of last season, was an assistant coach in 2012-13 which included the Olympic Qualifiers.
Jim Anderson, chairman of Ice Hockey UK, thanked Doug for "everything he has done in his time with GB" and hoped to announce his successor as soon as possible.
Nottingham Panthers' Corey Neilson, one of GB's assistant coaches, is believed to have applied for the head coaching role.
Meanwhile, the venue for the 2015 men's games has been confirmed as Eindhoven in the Netherlands on 13-19 April.
(There's one consolation for GB not being in Division IA any longer. The tournament is being held in the civil war-stricken Ukrainian city of Donetsk!)
The under-20s will be off to Tallinn, Estonia from 7-13 December 2014, followed by the under-18s on 22-28 March 2015.
Ice Hockey UK won the right to host the Women's World Championship (Division 2A) in Dumfries from 30th March to 5th April 2015.
A decision on the venue of the Women's under-18 qualification tournament has been postponed as no country has yet offered to host it. We understand GB may apply to do so.
